Around 210,000 fans are expected to see the band perform across three shows at Murrayfield Stadium in August
Liam Gallagher has said that Edinburgh City Council "fucking stinks" after leaked safety documents described Oasis fans as "rowdy," "middle-aged men" who are expected to drink to "medium to high intoxication" during the band’s upcoming shows at Murrayfield Stadium.
The briefings, obtained by The Scottish Sun through a freedom of information request, raised concerns over the gigs' potential impact on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, warning that Oasis fans may "take up more room" and expressing unease about the "tone of the band." The Fringe, which runs from August 1–25, is expected to draw over three million visitors.
Gallagher hit back on X saying: "To the Edinburgh council I’ve heard what you said about OASIS fans and quite frankly your attitude fucking stinks. I’d leave town that day if I was any of you lot.” He added: "I’d love to see a picture of all the people on the Edinburgh council, bet there’s some real STUNING individuals."

In response, councillor Margaret Graham said the city is proud to host major events like the Oasis concerts and is working with partners to ensure "the best possible experience."
Meanwhile, in Glasgow, Clyde College has launched a one-night Oasis masterclass ahead of the tour. Designed to introduce a younger audience to the band’s legacy, the course will take place on June 26 and will be available online.
